 The reasons for joining a company are no longer based on compensation alone, says a survey of top 62,000 research and development employees in India by Zinnov Management Consultancy.

Nearly 60.3% of employees have said they will change loyalties keeping new technologies and exposure to varied work in mind.

However, 57.5% agreed that compensation was important for the shift, and 43.1% switched to a firm with a better brand image. International assignments ranked the lowest, with only 6.3% vouching for them as an integral factor to join a firm.
